Soama is the older sister of Abeke.
Appearance
Soama has dark skin, kohl-lined lips, and wears a beaded headpiece.[1] She was said to look more precious than Abeke. She was also described to be a gifted weaver and gets most of Pojalo's attention.

- She is said to have given a tapestry of herons in flight over a pond as her nameday gift.
- In Hunted, Soama sends Abeke an elephant-hair bracelet. Abeke offers this bracelet to the hawkers in return for a house cat, who Abeke later names Kunaya. However, Meilin forces the hawkers to give the bracelet back. When Abeke is captured by Devin and Karmo, Abeke uses Soama's bracelet to tell Conor, Rollan, Meilin, and Finn that Devin is hunting Rumfuss.
