Bond Tokens are objects endowed with the power of a bond between summoner and spirit animal. The "secret of bond tokens" was discovered and recorded by Xin Kao Dai.[1]

Source[]

In The Dragon’s Eye, Xin Kao Dai appears to Meilin as a guardian of his bond token, the Dragon’s Eye. When Meilin asks if he remembers how to create bond tokens, he shows her a secret passage in which she finds an ornate jade scroll tube containing the instructions.

Known Bond Tokens[]

Talismans of the Great Beasts[]

Main article: Talismans

The Great Beasts themselves made bond tokens, more commonly known as talismans. They include the Amber Leopard of Uraza (makes you faster and stronger), the Granite Ram of Arax (lets you jump far and high), the Iron Boar of Rumfuss (makes your skin impenetrable), the Slate Elephant of Dinesh (your spirit animal grows much larger), the Crystal Polar Bear of Suka (gives you giant, invisible arms), the Coral Octopus of Mulop (makes your body gelatinous so you can fit through small spaces and lets you breathe underwater), the Golden Lion of Cabaro (ability to create a supersonic roar from mouth), the Silver Wolf of Briggan (sharpens the senses of smell and hearing, sometimes to the extent of prophecy), the Bamboo Panda of Jhi (grants you the power to heal even severe injuries instantly), the Copper Falcon of Essix (strengthens your eyesight), the Marble Swan of Ninani (creates the Nectar and quickens the hands), the Bronze Eagle of Halawir (allows the wearer to nudge the air around them), the Jade Serpent of Gerathon (creates and controls the Bile), the Obsidian Ape (reveals weaknesses, including emotional weaknesses), and the Platinum Elk of Tellun (frees you of the Bile or cancels out another talisman and gives you strengthened intelligence and wisdom to the extent of prophecy).

The Four Gifts of Erdas[]

The Four Gifts of Erdas are the Heart of the Land (a golden amulet), the Wildcat’s Claw (a sword), Stormspeaker (a crown), and the Dragon’s Eye (a green jewel).

The Four Fallen’s Bond Tokens[]

After discovering the paper with instructions, the heroes made bond tokens.

Rollan uses Tarik’s cloak giving himself the ability to fly, Meilin uses a hairpin passed down by Zhongese leaders, granting the person possessing it able to heal and calm, like Jhi. Abeke turns her bow into a bond token, making her as agile as Uraza, and finally, Conor turns a shepherd’s crook into a "wonder" which strengthens the senses, giving the wielder the instincts of a wolf.
