The Battle of the Great Beasts take place in The Evertree. Kovo using the Staff of Cycles would summon the other twelve Great Beasts at The Evertree to get the final talisman, the Platinum Elk. Gerathon and Halawir were already accompanying him. Tellun took Conor, Abeke, Meilin, Rollan, and Shane. Once they were all there, Kovo attempted to convince them that they were the rightful rulers of Erdas and to join him. Tellun however sacrificed himself to the Evertree, making Kovo furious. Soon came Rumfuss, Dinesh and Cabaro. Suka killed Gerathon along with herself. Halawir attempted to escape but was stopped by Mulop, Ninani, Arax, and Essix. Mulop, Ninani, Arax, and Halawir sacrificed themselves to the Evertree. The Four, their spirit animals, and Shane finished off Kovo saving Erdas together.
Aftermath[]
The Evertree would soon be reborn, and the war will be over after Gerathon's death. Conor will be back with his family learning to read. Meilin will help rebuild Zhong. Abeke will be with her family and come to an understanding with them. Rollan will be with his mother again. Shane will be on the lam. The Great Beasts will return as spirit animals. However, and the new Evertree will be in danger around six months after this event.

- This is nearly an all Great Beasts battle if the Four Heroes and Shane didn't intervene.
- While saving Erdas the Great Beasts also endangered it again awakening the Wyrm proving Kovo's concern.
- Lenori will be The Evertree's caretaker after this.
- This was the true conflict of the Devourer war all along.
- Jhi at full height is half as tall as Kovo.
