Official Summary

Everything comes to an end in the seventh book in the NEW YORK TIMES bestselling series. The world of Erdas will be changed forever. ConorAbekeMeilin, and Rollan were once ordinary kids. Then they discovered that they had spirit animals - wise and powerful partners who granted them with amazing gifts . . . and a legendary responsibility.

Together, the team has journeyed across Erdas, racing to stop a merciless foe. They have laughed and fought together. They've won challenges and lost friends. Some have even lost themselves.

Now that journey is about to end. They must reach a place forgotten by time and face off against an ancient enemy breaking free from his prison. They have just one chance to stop him . . . or the whole world will shatter.

The book starts with Conor having a dream. He describes what he is, and then a voice calls out. Tellun tells Conor that it is the end of an era and he needs him here. He then realizes that everything was on fire, and that his friends needed help. He saw his friend Meilin fighting Greencloaks, Rollan was fighting a giant snake, and Abeke was swarmed by Conquerors. He tried calling out for Briggan, but he realized he was in passive state. But he looked at the tatoo for too long and it disappeared from his arm. A giant gorilla tries to attack him but he falls off a cliff and catches the ledge. Then an enormous eagle, which is assumed to be Halawir, appears above him. He sees Tarik on it, and he is happy. But when he tries to take his hand, it turned out to be Shane. He withdrew his hand and Conor fell. The next chapter starts with Rollan looking out of a window of Greenhaven Castle. He went to Abeke looking out over the landscape. He thinks that it feels like just yesterday that Shane stole the talismans, but it was actually a few weeks ago. He keeps thinking they have to act fast, and rescue Meilin. He yearns to tell her the newest joke and make her laugh, only to realize she wasn't there. He starts thinking about the weather. The weather has been odd, because The Evertree is being disrupted. Even the animals were acting odd. He tells Essix to go hunt them, but she didn't want to. He later tells a joke to Abeke to be a Rain Dancer and dance, but Abeke didn't laugh, so he let it go. He then says that Olvan says that they should be able to set soon. Abeke asks if there is any new messages, probably waiting for her father. They sent stormy petrels to get help from other Greencloaks. Abeke then says Tarik's cloak looks good on him.
